Datum Fox is a Mobile Information Technology Department. The same services an internal IT group is expected to provide are delivered on site or by remote access, without hiring a department to do them.
Coverage is for a household, a company that does not staff IT, and a larger organization that needs the same coverage for remote staff and outlying sites. Scope is agreed before work starts.
Endpoint Support
For home offices, small companies, and remote employees.
We diagnose and repair systems that will not start, perform poorly, are compromised by malware, have lost network connectivity, or lack a reliable backup. Every visit includes a written recommendation to repair, replace, or retire the equipment before more money is spent. Equipment that cannot be recovered is recycled.
Not included: warranty work already covered by a vendor.
Data Services with Integrity
For businesses that already run Microsoft SQL Server and need administration without a dedicated database staff.
We handle backup, security, and performance on the instance you have. We also write the queries and reports people actually use, including Power BI. Work begins with an assessment of the current environment, then moves to scheduled administration or a defined reporting engagement. No production change is made without a backup and a stated rollback plan.
Not included: any requirement to buy a new platform.
Workstation Instruction
For staff who run day-to-day operations and have not been trained on the tools they already have.
We cover files, warnings, backups, printers, and introductory T-SQL, taught at the workstation and limited to the work in front of the person. Sessions are short and tied to daily operation. This is practical instruction, not a course.
Not included: certification training or classroom programs.
How the Work Is Engaged
- Incident — A single visit or remote session, with a finding and a recommendation.
- Retained MITD — Scheduled coverage for a household or a company without an IT staff.
- Remote-user desk — The same coverage, contracted by a larger organization for people outside the main office.
